Awards

2005 – Performing Arts Network of South Africa (PANSA) Jury Prize for Best Script for his play, Full Circle.

2003 – Finalist in the BBC African Performance radio drama competition for his play, Soldier Boy.

2001 – Ingrid Jonker Prize for a debut collection of poetry: Feet of the Sky.

2000 – Merit award in the Noupoort Reward for Playwriting.

1998 – Helen Martins Fellowship. This enabled him to spend a month in
the Karoo village of Nieu Bethesda working on his debut anthology of
poetry, Time like Stone.

1992 – Finalist in the Amstel Playwright of the Year Award.

1991 – Macmillan Southern African Playwriting Award.1987 – BBC African Radio Theatre Award.
